According to the philosopher Terence Kemp McKenna, the novelty theory (there is an increase in the universe activities over time) depicts there will be significant changes on earth in the year of 2012. He included this theory in a computer program and generated a wave based graph which is known as timewave zero. He used the King Wen sequence (written representation of a series of sixty-four hexagrams figures) of I Ching (one of the ancient Chinese classic texts) to predict activities and timelines on the graph. Based on these findings, later scholars believe the end date will be December 21, 2012.
