Quantum Teleportation

The main idea of quantum teleportation is to improve the computer communications so that one day people can have much faster and efficient computer networks and data communications.

The quantum teleportation is based on the theory that a replica of the original is created in a defined location where the original is destroyed.  This has been proved using a technique called entanglement. Here is how it works.

1.    In order to create a replica, there is a need to get the specs of the original (A). However, by trying to get the 100% specs of the original, there is high risk of changing the original object (A) from its original state, which is called quantum state. If that happens, the whole purpose of the experiment is useless as you change the original object.

2.    In order to overcome this, scientists have introduced entanglement where they have used additional two similar behaving objects in the teleportation process. First, they entangled two objects, so one behaves the same way as the other regardless of the space or distance.

3.    Now, they have kept one (B) with the original object (A) and the other (C) in the desired destination where the original will be teleported.

4.    Then, they have done a join measure of A and B, so they could find the relative behavior of A per B. This information is sent to object C.

5.    Now, since the object C behaves the same as B, then they could find A’s behavior per C. In the essence they could extract the information and change the behavior of C to get a replica of A.

6.    In the process, the original A and B objects changed and essentially would be destroyed.

Using the above methods, many physicists and scientists have done experiments on teleportation over the past decade. The experimented particles were photons (particles of light), light beams, and atoms. A summary of the main experiments as below:
